Potomac Boulevard is a wide, spacious corridor that leads visitors and patients through the hospital with ease. Along the boulevard is a new, larger gift shop, new Worship Room, and Jazzman’s Cafe, a coffee and snack bar.
Stroll the Boulevard with this Virtual Tour.
The new and improved Gift Shop at Potomac Hospital, which is along the new Potomac Boulevard.
The new, four-story 180,000 square foot patient care building at Potomac Hospital opened on March 14, 2006. The new facility houses all private patient rooms, 30 additional patient beds, the new Garden Café and the Hylton Education Center. It replaces Potomac's original Medical/Surgical Units and Intensive Care Unit.
Each patient room has internet access; a sitting area with a couch or sleep chair that can be used as a bed for an overnight visitor; soft colors, warm lighting and soothing décor to help patient recovery; windows for natural light; and a flat screen television and phone line. The $71 million building project was funded through accumulated reserves, industrial revenue bonds, and the Campaign for Your New Potomac Hospital, a capital campaign to benefit the Potomac Hospital Foundation
