The New Hire Support Program is an exciting benefit for newly hired nurses and allied health professionals at Potomac Hospital.
Beginning a new job in a new environment can be stressful and overwhelming. To ensure you have a successful start in becoming part of the Potomac family, the New Hire Support Program is here to provide you with support and resources to help you succeed
The New Hire Support Program supplements your clinical orientation program and includes the following:
- Orientation meetings with the New Hire Support Coordinator, your preceptor, educator and director
- A customized preceptorship with one of our experienced staff
- Confidential meetings with the New Hire Support Coordinator
- Peer focus groups
- New hire surveys
- Social activities
The New Hire Support Program is tailored to the specific needs of each participant, and provides opportunities for mentoring and networking. The New Hire Support Coordinator acts as an advocate for participants, and will follow you closely throughout the orientation process and throughout your first year of employment.
