Answer: Yes, many of our current scholars had not yet begun nursing school when they were selected to receive the scholarship.

Answer: Yes, you must qualify for in-state tuition in order to be eligible for the scholarship.
Question: What if my high school grade-point-average does not meet the minimum requirements or I have a GED, but I have other formal education experience as an adult?
Answer: In this case it would be important to submit official transcripts and/or certificates from other programs along with your official high school transcript or GED for consideration. If you have completed a college degree you may submit your official college transcript in lieu of you high school transcript.
Question: What if I went to school in another country?

Answer: Yes, scholarship benefits cover tuition for all courses required for an associate in applied science degree in nursing at either Northern Virginia Community College or Germanna Community College.

Answer: Earning an associate in applied science degree in nursing makes you eligible to take the national licensure examination to become a registered nurse.
