Dialogue
Q.
At what age did you decide to pursue a medical career and why?
A.
I decided to pursue a medical career fairly late. I had two interests growing up: one was art and the other was science. I started college as a fine arts major but took many science classes, mainly for fun. As my college career progressed, my interest in the sciences and human health grew and I was encouraged by a biology professor to consider a career in medicine. Before I knew it I was taking the required courses for medical school and filling out applications.

Q
What are your particular interests within your specialty?
A.
Body MRI and oncologic imaging.

Q.
What are your interests outside of work?
A.
I enjoy playing with my daughter, listening to music, cooking and then eating what I cook.

Q
What’s the best part about being a physician?
A.
Life long learning and having a positive effect on people’s health.
