Q.
At what age did you decide to pursue a medical career and why?
A.
In high school I had an interest in science, especially the human side of science. I was a Chemistry major in college, but wanted to apply my knowledge to the human side of science and have the ability to interact with people.
Q.
What are your particular interests within your specialty?
A.
I enjoy the preventive medicine aspect of Internal Medicine.
Q.
What are your interests outside of work?
A.
I enjoy spending time with my family. When there is time, I enjoy cycling, and although I haven’t played the piano in some time, I still enjoy classical music.
Q.
What’s the best part about being a physician?
A.
I like the continuity of care with my patients. We are able to gain trust over time in the Primary Care/Internal Medicine specialty, and I enjoy the bond I build with my patients.
