Dialogue
Q.
At what age did you decide to pursue a medical career and why?
A.

I have always wanted to be a doctor. I grew up with parents who were both physicians in a small town in Western Pennsylvania. It was amazing to see the relationships that they had with their patients and the community as a whole.

Q.
What are your particular interests within your specialty?
A.
The manual aspect of surgery and the excitement of new technologies drive me to keep current with the latest techniques in surgery. Every day brings a better, safer, and more efficient way to heal patients. Offering the latest in surgical advancements and seeing the real results is very rewarding. I have a great deal of pride in seeing what our robotic surgery team has accomplished and the reputation it has built.

Q.
What are your interests outside of work?
A.
Spending time with my wife and daughter recharges me - even if it involves tea parties and Barbies.

Q.
What’s the best part about being a physician?
A.

Every day is different with new challenges. No two patients, surgeries, or illnesses are the same. I enjoy treating each patient as a unique individual.
