Q.
At what age did you decide to pursue a medical career and why?
A.
Age six! That’s when my mother told me to become a doctor. I grew up in D.C. and at that time the Museum of Medicine was located there. I would visit as often as I could.

Q.
What are your particular interests within your specialty?
A.
Chronic renal failure.

Q.
What are your interests outside of work?
A.
Working on the second edition of my medical history book; writing and classical guitar.

Q.
What’s the best part about being a physician?
A.
The people. I enjoy working with people and helping them to be healthier. I get to spend years working with patients and their families while providing dialysis treatment.
