Q.
At what age did you decide to pursue a medical career and why?
A.
As a child, before my teenage years, I decided to become a doctor because I liked to take care of people. I also had a lot of encouragement from my family.
Q.
What are your particular interests within your specialty?
A.
I enjoy working with patients with chronic conditions (diabetes, hypertension, etc.) because it allows me to build a bond with them. I also enjoy women’s health, primarily preventive care.
Q.
What are your interests outside of work?
A.
I enjoy spending time with my husband and two daughters. When I find some precious time, I like to exercise, take bicycle rides, and go shopping.
Q.
What’s the best part about being a physician?
A.
It’s hard to narrow it down to just one thing. I love helping people and really enjoy the continuity and relationships I’ve built with my patients.
