At what age did you decide to pursue a medical career and why?
A.
In college I had so many sports injuries and wound up in the hospital on several occasions. I remember
thinking the hospital was cool and quickly developed an interest in medicine. I was accepted into a
general surgery program and really enjoyed it.

What are your particular interests within your specialty?
A.
Colorectal surgery and surgical oncology.

What are your interests outside of work?
A.
Reading, running and taking care of my two kids.
