On March 14, 2006, Potomac Hospital opened its new patient care building, which has all private rooms and replaces our original Medical/Surgical Units and Intensive Care Unit. In these new surroundings, we strive to provide quality patient care in a comfortable, private atmosphere, which supports the professional development of our nurses and serves patients on several levels, from ambulatory infusion to acute care.

Continuing Medical Education (CME)
Potomac Hospital is one of 13 Virginia hospitals that is accredited by the Medical Society of Virginia to sponsor Continuing Medical Education for physicians. At least three educational sessions are held at the hospital per month. Potomac designates these educational activities for a maximum of 1 category 1 credit toward the AMA Physician’s Recognition Award.
