Aetna HMO-based plans require authorization for biophysical profiles (with or without a Non-Fetal Stress Test). For the following plans, Aetna requires precertification/referrals for radiology services and cardiology services performed at Potomac Hospital.

Precertification is required for radiology procedures including MRI, CT scans, and nuclear medicine/cardiology procedures for these Aetna plans:

• Aetna Chickering
• Aetna CoreSource

Patients in the following Aetna non-HMO plans should call Aetna Member Services to check for specific precertification /referral requirements for radiology/cardiology services performed at Potomac Hospital:
