Potomac Hospital’s team of diabetes educators are ready to help you. Standing from left to right: Nanette Carradice, R.N.; Kelly Clark, R.D.; Carmen Marcus, R.N.; and Susan Baum, R.D., CDE. Seated from left to right: Robyn Johanson, R.N., CDE; Kavitha Felix, M.Ed., R.D., CDE; and Maureen Deutermann, MSN, R.N.

Potomac Hospital’s Diabetes Self-Management Program has been awarded continued recognition from the American Diabetes Association (ADA). Programs that achieve recognition status boast a staff of knowledgeable health professionals who provide state-of-the-art information about diabetes management to their participants.

The ADA Education Recognition effort, begun in 1986, is a voluntary process, which assures that approved education programs have met the national standards for diabetes self-management programs.

Potomac Hospital’s Diabetes Self-Management Program had almost 2,100 patient visits in 2007. For more information or to make an appointment, please call (703) 670-1767, or (540) 659-1800, ext. 1767.
