Woodbridge High School Student Donates Gift Bags to Breast Cancer Patients

Woodbridge High School student, Meredith Nelson, presented Potomac Hospital with 40 bags that she made and filled with several items for breast cancer patients. As part of her Gold Award Project for Girl Scouts, Meredith interviewed several breast cancer survivors to find out what items patients would like to receive in a gift bag. The title for her project was “Bags for the Beautiful in Battle” and each bag contains a TLC catalog, a journal, a puzzle book, lip balm, hand lotion and sanitizer, a breast cancer awareness bracelet and pin, socks and peppermints.
