Dr. David Postelnek named Prince William EMS Operational Medical Director


Dr. David Postelnek has been named the Operational Medical Director (OMD) of the Prince William County Department of Fire and Rescue System.

Dr. Postelnek is a graduate of the George Washington University Medical School. He was Chief Resident, 1995 – 1996, at Georgetown University Hospital where he completed his Residency. In 1995, he began working for Potomac Hospital as an Emergency Room Physician and currently is with Best Practices, Inc., the physician group in charge of Potomac Hospital's ER. He is the Director of Trauma Services and serves as the Physician Director of the Medical Information Services for Potomac Hospital.

 Dr. Postelnek was appointed by the Board of County Supervisors to serve as the Operational Medical Director and Physician Course Director for the Prince William County Fire and Rescue System. His appointment became effective on July 1st. He will serve alongside our current Associate Operational Medical Director, Dr. Kevin Campbell. Together, Dr. Postelnek and Dr. Campbell will oversee and direct the county’s EMS Operations and Education for the entire fire and rescue system.
