Potomac Hospital’s new Outpatient Infusion Center is now open. This state-of-the-art facility in our new patient care building was designed with the patients’ needs in mind. It offers a convenient outpatient setting for patients who require frequent infusions of medications, including those with central lines.
The Infusion Center offers a comfortable and convenient alternative to receiving infusion services as an inpatient or in the emergency room. Patients receive their infusion in a comfortable recliner or stretcher bed and may watch DVDs on handheld DVD players, listen to music, read or relax. Infusion services are provided by a staff of experienced registered nurses who specialize in intravenous therapy.
Infusion services offered include: chemotherapy, blood product transfusions, intravenous antibiotics, central line catheter care, hydration therapy, injection services, remicade therapy, and iron infusions. We also offer assessment and evaluation, educational materials, and we work with your primary physician to coordinate your care.
Hours of Operation: Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. Appointments are available Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m.
To schedule an appointment, call (703) 670-1724 or online at potomachospital.com. After hours, you may leave a message including your name and telephone number. A physician order is required.
