Potomac Physician Accepted as a Fellow of the American Society for Gastrointestinal Endoscopy

Kenneth Josovitz, M.D

Kenneth Josovitz, M.D., a gastroenterologist on Potomac Hospital’s medical staff, has been named a Fellow of the American Society for Gastrointestinal Endoscopy (ASGE). The designation of Fellow signifies that an individual has made significant contributions to the field of endoscopy or to the ASGE.

Founded in 1941, the American Society for Gastrointestinal Endoscopy (ASGE) is a professional organization dedicated to advancing patient care and digestive health by promoting excellence in endoscopy.

ASGE physicians and surgeons have highly specialized training in endoscopic procedures of the digestive tract, such as colonoscopy, upper endoscopy, endoscopic ultrasound (EUS), capsule endoscopy and other procedures relating to digestive health.

Gastrointestinal endoscopy refers to the use of an instrument, called an endoscope, which is inserted through the mouth or rectum so that doctors can visualize and manipulate different parts of the digestive system.

Dr. Josovitz’s office is located at 2296 Opitz Blvd., Suite 400, in Woodbridge. Telephone: (703) 580-0181.
