Sentara Potomac Hospital Auxiliary is offering scholarships to area high school seniors who plan to pursue careers in a medical health care or related field. These scholarships will be worth $1000 each. The scholarship is an indirect cash award that will be presented to the school upon verification of the student’s acceptance.
Only those students attending one of the six public high schools, private high schools or home-schooled students in the eastern Prince William County area, and current Sentara Potomac Hospital Junior volunteers, will be eligible to apply for a Sentara Potomac Hospital Auxiliary Scholarship. The six public high schools are:
- C.D. Hylton High School
- Forest Park High School
- Freedom High School
- Gar-Field Senior High School
- Potomac Senior High School
- Woodbridge Senior High School
Students will be selected based on the following:
- General academic ability
- Personal characteristics
- Academic record
- Extra-curricular activities
- Interest in community relations and citizenship
