Outpatient Infusion Center

(703) 986-5264

Potomac Hospital’s Outpatient Infusion Center is a state-of-the-art facility in our new patient care building that was designed with the patients’ needs in mind. It offers a convenient outpatient setting for patients who require frequent infusions of medications, including those with central lines.

The Infusion Center offers a comfortable and convenient alternative to receiving infusion services as an inpatient or in the emergency room. Patients receive their infusion in a comfortable recliner or stretcher bed and may watch DVDs on handheld DVD players, listen to music, read or relax.

Insurance pre-authorization guidelines have been established for Infusion Center patients. Click here to view the guidelines.

Infusion services are provided by a staff of experienced registered nurses who specialize in intravenous therapy.

Infusion services offered include:

  • Chemotherapy
  • Blood product transfusions
  • Intravenous antibiotics
  • Central line catheter care
  • Hydration therapy
  • Injection services
  • Remicade therapy
  • Iron infusions

We also offer assessment and evaluation, educational materials, and we work with your primary physician to coordinate your care.

To schedule an appointment, call (703) 670-1724 or online. After hours, you may leave a message including your name and telephone number. A physician order is required.
