Attending New Team Member Orientation

New Team Member Orientation is held on the second Monday of each month.

This day-long event will help you get to know a little more about Potomac Hospital. It also provides the opportunity to complete essential annual educational requirements, such as Fire and Electrical Safety and others required by The Joint Commission.

Please note that all new team members are expected to attend Orientation within their first 30 days of employment.

Below are some frequently asked questions regarding New Team Member Orientation:

Where is orientation held?
At the Hylton Education Center, Garden Level of Potomac Hospital, in Room C (See Hylton Education Center Map PDF).

When do I arrive?
Orientation begins promptly at 8:00 a.m. and lasts until 4:00 p.m. Please be on time, as this is considered a paid day of employment. Late arrivals may be asked to reschedule.

What do I wear?
At Potomac Hospital, our team members work hard to maintain a professional environment. With that in mind, please dress accordingly for your orientation day. Department uniforms and professional work attire are appropriate. Please do not wear jeans, capris, shorts, tank tops, flip-flops, sweatpants or tightly-fitted clothing. Hosiery/socks and appropriate shoes are required.

Is there food available?
A continental breakfast and lunch are provided. Water and coffee are also provided during the morning.

Where do I park?
For Orientation Day only, you may park in the Hylton Education Center Parking Lot (located at the back of the hospital).

We hope the information helps to answer your questions about Orientation. Please contact Human Resources at (703) 670-1509 if you need additional information.
